St Valentines Day is a perfect occasion to express deepest feelings & love. On Valentines Day, lovers, friends and family members exchange Valentine Gifts as tokens of love. Saint Valentine’s Day is an annual holiday held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate companions. The holiday is named after one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius in 496 AD. It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by sending flowers, chocolates,cupid and greeting cards. Saint Valentine served as a high priest at the temple during the supremacy of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defy him.

Old people also say that St. Valentine left a goodbye letter for the jailers daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine". Other aspects of this history say that Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honor St. Valentine. After this the 14 February became the date of exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. By the time the date was marked by sending poems and gifts such as flowers, cards, and hearts. Valentines Day came to be regarded as the festival that celebrates love and not just romantic love.
